Amber Fort
Perched on a hilltop overlooking Maota Lake, Amber Fort is a stunning blend of Rajput and Mughal architecture, famous for its Sheesh Mahal mirror work and elephant rides.
Constructed in 1592 by Raja Man Singh I, Amber Fort served as the main residence of the Rajput rulers for over 150 years before the capital shifted to Jaipur. Built with red sandstone and marble, it features four courtyard levels. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2013 as part of the 'Hill Forts of Rajasthan'.
