About

Albert Hall Museum

The oldest museum in Rajasthan, Albert Hall Museum is a stunning Indo-Saracenic building housing an eclectic collection of art, jewellery, carpets, ivory works, and an Egyptian mummy.

Designed by British architect Samuel Swinton Jacob in the Indo-Saracenic style, the foundation stone was laid by the Prince of Wales (later King Edward VII) in 1876. Opened to the public in 1887, the building combines Rajput and Mughal architectural elements and is one of the finest examples of Indo-Saracenic style in Rajasthan.
